Dave Misconish- is a working San Francisco artist whose raw and powerful
work is being described as spiritual, emotive, and enigmatic. Eschewing traditional methods, he prefers to work without
brushes, palettes, or conventional canvases. Instead, he applies the paint directly to the surface and then through
a process of removal reveals the image within, The constant dialogue between artist and art makes his work as much
a discovery as a creation. This process of allowing the work to participate in it’s creation and develop
a life of its own, permits his paintings evolve from a combination of touch and texture. Using the human
experience as both subject and inspiration, his paintings evoke the joy, sadness, wonder and intensity of the human struggle. Misconish teaches how to express yourself creatively.
Jane Peterman- is a full-time working artist out of the Palo Alto Artists Studios. She sees abstract painting is a

Peterman teaches acrylic (in 2011). Patricia Rodrigez- is teaching a silk screen class in the winter and spring quarters. "My current work is abstract
prints and paintings, which allows me to work in a loose format creating spontaneous splashes of color. Most recently I have
been producing monotypes on the etching press, as well as screen prints. I am currently teaching screen printing at Laney
College, in Oakland, CA. This process has being very rewarding and satisfying. My monotypes are mostly abstract, and the screen
prints are subject matter related to my Latino Heritage symbols that are special to me, as a Latina artist and art curator. My
art history has been rich and wonderful. While I was a student at the San Francisco Art Institute, I created and organized
a group of women artist to paint murals in San Francisco, the Mujeres Muralistas 1970-79. You can find information
about the group in many art history books, during that time I taught at various universities and collages. In the 1980’s
I also created a large body of art box constructions for exhibitions that traveled all over the U.S. and abroad. Currently
I am teaching printmaking at Laney College in Oakland. I just finished my curatorial service of ten years at the Mission Cultural
Center for Latino Arts, in San Francisco." -Nov. 20, 2009 Rodrigez teaches silk screening.
